Dr. Ismael spent two weeks conducting fieldwork at Bizmoune Cave, Morocco and participated as an invited speaker at the conference "Origins of Essaouira: 20 Years of Archaeological Research" organized by the Institut National des Sciences de l'Archéologie et du Patrimoine (INSAP). Dr. Ismael lectured about his research on the Middle Stone Age stone tools from multiple Moroccan cave sites and the human behaviors reflected on these artifacts. During excavations and the conference, Dr. Ismael collaborated with senior researchers and doctoral students from Morocco, the United States, and France. These collaborations will resume next year as publications and more fieldwork.
