When Ballantyne Ball was founded 10 years ago, the goal was simple: establish an event that would celebrate the community and focus on charitable organizations. A decade later the mission remains the same, with each gala showcasing a new nonprofit. Beneficiaries in the past have included Isabella Santos Foundation, The Sandbox, Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance, HeartBright Foundation, The Relatives, Promising Pages, Madelyn's Fund, SherryStrong, Hopeway and, this upcoming year, Congregations for Kids. Read more about the annual fundraiser and what they have planned for the 2025 ball on our website. https://lnkd.in/eUHimsjY

When Linda Lockman-Brooks and Wil Brooks first moved to the Charlotte area from New Jersey, they knew Ballantyne was where they wanted to be. "We were transplants," Linda says. "And so, for me, it was a place where people were coming from all over, and they were kind of plotting their own paths." Over the years, they've continued to fall in love with the Ballantyne campus, enjoying special family times here, most notably at Gallery Restaurant. Shefalee and Vinay Patel moved to Ballantyne in 2003 when they started their family, citing great schools as a major factor in their decision. As the development has continued to grow, they've also grown to love their proximity to so many great restaurants and things to do. "Everything is right there," Shefalee Patel says. "It's like a party every day, and we can walk there." Head to our website to read more about their experiences: https://buff.ly/3BMDhmS

It's no secret the Ballantyne campus has seen a lot of changes over the years! For our celebratory collectors issue we sat down with three couples who have been here since the beginning and seen the changes firsthand. Vonda Huss and David Huss moved to Ballantyne in 1991. They've been thrilled with the developments over the years — particularly David, who's a Realtor and enjoys how easy it is to sell the area. Vonda adds, “It’s so easy to live here; everything is just a couple of minutes away." Head here to read the full article: https://lnkd.in/eRkscDxY
