Today we’re shouting out Gotham Soccer - one of the adult soccer leagues using Bantr. Gotham Soccer is the amateur soccer league with pro experience with multiple locations across the US. ⚽ Gotham Soccer gets a shout as an early adopter of Bantr. They caught the Bantr vision, jumped in early and helped shape the platform. Now they use Bantr Connect for their league management and their players and teams use the Bantr web app (mobile app coming soon 🥳). Their website also runs on the Bantr platform. Talk about going all in! 🙌 Before Bantr, Gotham Soccer used no league management tool; they didn't like the available options. “They’re make-shift dinosaurs” - their words, not ours. Time to meet the three soccer-obsessed cofounders of Bantr - Sam Weisbrod, Marc Howell, and Ryan Moorehouse. Sam has 11 years of experience in soccer at the youth, adult and professional levels. He built the largest rec soccer business in the Midwest while at the Chicago Fire, cofounded a national association of adult soccer leagues and manages the largest youth club in East Tennessee. He used to be a fan of Arsenal FC, but not anymore. Marc, on the other hand, is still an ardent Arsenal FC fan. He has 13 years of experience working in design as a creative director, graphic designer, and UXUI designer. He co-founded a successful boutique design studio whose clients ranged from global brands to startups. Ryan has worked in software engineering for 12 years and led engineering teams across the world with several Fortune 500 companies. He’s a Manchester United FC fan. Combining Sam’s soccer expertise, Marc’s design wizardry, Ryan’s technical prowess, and their collective passion for soccer, they created Bantr to enhance the overall experience of adult sports leagues with modern and intuitive tools for league admins, teams, and players, eliminating the need to rely on tools built for youth sports. Fun fact: they met on a soccer pitch in Chicago, and a few years later, Bantr was born.
