Meet Patrick Jones, one of our BCHA Board Members 👋 🗓️ When did you join the board? - November of 2020. I enjoy my role as a board member and take it very seriously. I ask a lot of questions in meetings for my understanding. From these questions often comes good discussions. These discussions allow BCHA leadership to demonstrate their abilities and provide for a clear direction of the organization. 🔍 Professional Background - I am employed as the Vice President of Manufacturing for Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. I am also the Treasurer for the Southern Baptist Church in Philippi. 💡 What inspired you to become involved? - My father-in-law, Harold Talbott, was part of the group that established the Belington Clinic. BCHA is important to my family and vital to good health in our community. I'm honored to be a part of the board. 🎖️ What are some of your key achievements? - Personally, I don't have key achievements as a board member. However, the organization continues to impress me with its achievements. BCHA is very dynamic organization with very talented employees. They have vision, motivation, and the compassion to serve their community. Construction of the Myers Clinic, the construction of the Behavioral Health Facility, school-based health services, and the many events held throughout the year show the BCHA's commitment for being here. 😆 What are you most excited for? - COVID changed the world. The value of having available quality healthcare has become very apparent. Rural healthcare has many challenges from financial, employee recruitment, regulations, and competition. It will take strong leadership to navigate through these items. BCHA is up for the task. ⛳️ Hobbies/Fun Facts? - I enjoy listening to audio books while working around the yard. I support my wife with her business, Perfectly Pampered Salon. We also have a business called Cover Me In Stitches that does embroidery. We manage a Blessing Box that provides food to those in need. I'm also involved in videography for my church.
