As Chair of the Future Homes Hub (and CEO of Barratt Redrow) it’s great to be working together with other housebuilders and across the wider industry as we look to build the energy efficient homes of the future. We are just putting the finishing touches to a new film for the Future Homes Hub conference in December.

To mark International Men’s Day, our gender equality employee network, Under One Roof, hosted a truly impactful online session in partnership with #ANDYSMANCLUB, a leading men’s suicide prevention charity. The session, themed ‘It’s OK to Talk,’ focused on the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and encouraging open and honest conversations. With approximately 100 colleagues joining, it was a significant opportunity to come together as a community to support each other. We were also joined by our Health and Wellbeing Manager, Philip Hargreaves, who directed to the dedicated mental health advice and support we offer to our people at Barratt Redrow. Thank you to all who came to the session and contributed towards us re-enforcing that #ItsOkToTalk. #InternationalMensDay #MentalHealthMatters #ItsOkToTalk #BarrattRedrow

BBC Breakfast broadcast live from Energy House 2.0 this week, the unique research lab at The University of Salford. The programme focused on the move to electrified heating, as the country continues its journey towards gas-free new homes. Reporter Ben Boulos spoke with Oliver Novakovic and Richard Fitton about what the test findings mean for homeowners and renters, how much the transition to electrified heating will cost, and what the long-term savings will be. The latest research also featured in the Sunday Times last weekend, and will be shared with Government, local authorities, housebuilders and suppliers. Our teams take pride in the homes and places they build, and so enjoy the chance to showcase what they do for local MPs, politicians and partners.   Since the election, we've been welcoming new and returning MPs to sites across the country, meeting our teams and customers and seeing how we are building homes, creating jobs and investing in our communities.    Some of the visits have included: 🏆 Alberto Costa MP met Adam Davies, a Pride in the Job award-winning site manager, at New Lubbesthorpe. 🦺 Mark Garnier MP joined the team at Folliott’s Manor, before taking part in a sod-cutting for The Pearls, a new development in Stourport-on-Severn. 🏭 John Lamont MP toured our Oregon Timber Frame factory in Selkirk. 🫙 Chris Law MP visited Keiller’s Rise to see the transformation of the former Keiller Marmalade production plant. 🏡 Gregor Poynton MP saw the transformation of Valley Park in Livingston.  🏗️ Victoria Slade MP visited Quarter Jack Park, Wimborne, to see the new community taking shape.   Gregor Poynton MP said: “The work Barratt Redrow is doing to create much-needed housing in such a well-connected location is highly important and will undoubtedly bring long-term benefits to the local community.” “It was fascinating to gain an insight into Oregon’s operations and learn how their work is helping to deliver sustainable housing across the country," said John Lamont MP. "The £24m investment to expand this facility is a much-welcomed boost for the local economy, and I look forward to seeing the new jobs it will bring to our community.” 🏘️#BarrattRedrow

We are proud to announce that we are a lead sponsor of The Great Tommy Sleep Out. As a long term partner of the RBLI (Royal British Legion Industries), we are pleased to helping to raise vital funds and awareness for homeless veterans, working alongside co-lead sponsor BAE Systems. RBLI's Chief Executive Lisa Farmer said: “BAE Systems and Barratt Redrow’s co-sponsorship will really help the impact we can make through The Great Tommy Sleep Out and our wider efforts to support homeless veterans. "Their support demonstrates a powerful commitment to those who have served our country, helping us provide life-changing services to veterans in need.” Money raised from the sleep out in March 2025 will help to provide veterans with safe homes, mental health support, and a pathway towards stable employment and independent living. Our Chief Executive, David Thomas, said: “The Tommy Sleep Out is RBLI’s biggest and most important fundraising initiative, which is why we are supporting it. We want to get as many people as possible to take part, raising vital funds for homeless veterans.” Find more information here👉 https://lnkd.in/ez67afYc #GreatTommySleepOut #RBLI #BarrattRedrow
