In my role as Technical Lead, I was responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the project, ensuring that each solution was aligned with our long-term vision of efficiency and scalability. My work involved developing ABAP solutions that not only met immediate needs but were also future-ready solutions that would be robust, maintainable, and adaptable. With a Bachelor’s in Engineering and a strong foundation in SAP ABAP I embarked on a project aimed at transforming our organization’s logistical framework and inventory management processes.  What inspires me most is knowing that my skills in SAP ABAP can significantly improve the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. Every solution I develop or refine has a direct impact on our ability to meet customer demands quickly and cost-effectively, which is deeply motivating. My motto is to create business applications that are efficient, scalable, and maintainable. By focusing on these qualities, I aim to build solutions that offer long-term value.  Guided by BD’s core values of innovation and quality, I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries, constantly seeking new ways to enhance processes and uphold high standards in everything I do. Today on #InternationalVolunteerDay we celebrate and thank the thousands of associates across BD who are driving positive change for our communities, planet and people through volunteerism.   Recently, 17 BD volunteers deployed on a BD Volunteer Service Trip to North Macedonia and Kosovo to help advance patient care and health infrastructure by offering training to 500 healthcare workers in specialized areas of perinatal and neonatal care (and more). This image of discarded syringes may be a familiar site to many HCPs. But these syringes have a different future in store than most! Medical waste can have a second life, with many products being constructed from high quality resins and materials that can be recycled for alternate uses. BD is partnering with Future Post in Auckland, as well as leading hospitals in New Zealand, to recycle syringes from surgical theaters turning them into Bio Gro Certified plastic fence posts for use in agricultural settings. To date, BD and partners have helped recycle more than 4 tonnes of syringes into more than 200 posts! As many as 1 in 5 cancer patients undergoing treatment are hospitalized due to infection – and antibiotics are the main line of defense. However, a recent study shows that hospitalized cancer patients are twice as likely to contract resistant pathogens at hospitals which cause life-threatening blood stream infections. A first-of-its-kind HPV self-collection screening pilot program aimed at improving cervical cancer screening in underserved communities has officially launched in Texas. The study is being conducted at Su Clinica, a Federally Qualified Health Center, together with researchers at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
