About us
BDC Capital provides innovative financing to New England businesses that might not be able to obtain all the financing needed from conventional lenders. These businesses might have a collateral shortfall, temporary losses, or high leverage. We provide financing for any business purpose by supplementing bank financing. BDC Capital is a private company established over 65 years ago. We source the funds for our loans and investments from over 30 member financial institutions. We can work with any type of business and their lender to provide innovative financing. We have offices in Wakefield, MA, Worcester, MA, Bedford, NH, Hartford, CT, Portland, ME, and Providence, RI. We can work with any lender to help "fill the gap" for any business purpose. Our financing includes: -revolving asset-based lines of credit from $500,000 to $5 million; -direct term loans from $500,000 to $5 million, typically in a junior secured position; -mezzanine investments from $1 million to $5 million. -SBA 504 loans for real estate and machinery & equipment through our affiliate New England CDC. BDC Capital also administers several state-sponsored programs for Massachusetts businesses including the Mass. Capital Access Program and the Mass. Recycling Loan Fund. In Rhode Island, we administer the RI Capital Access Program and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Loan Program. In summary, we help businesses grow by bridging the capital gap.
