Congratulations on this milestone, Groundwork Ohio! HB7 includes a transformative new approach to early childhood mental health diagnoses, prioritization of home visiting programs for families in greatest need, and strengthened interagency collaboration.
This week, Ohio took a bold step forward for mothers, babies, and families with the passage of Substitute House Bill 7! A heartfelt 💕 thanks to the Ohio legislature for recognizing the importance of this issue and committing to make Ohio the best place to be a young child. Introduced by Representatives Andrea White (R-Kettering) and Latyna M. Humphrey (D-Columbus), this landmark legislation prioritizes Ohio’s youngest citizens during their most critical early years. Groundwork Ohio Policy Director Caitlin Feldman gave testimony to advocate for Substitute HB7 which creates stronger foundations for healthier futures by adopting evidence-based solutions that will improve maternal and infant outcomes alike. Together, we are creating a brighter future for all Ohio families. https://lnkd.in/e72nt3KD #GroundworkOhio #SubHB7 #MaternalHealth #InfantHealth #EarlyChildhood #Policy #Advocacy #EarlyChildhood #YoungChildren #Children
