🏛️ United Way of Greater Cincinnati joined volunteers, staff and partners in Frankfort for Kentucky #LiveUnitedDay — a powerful day of advocacy for policies that help families thrive. Access to early childhood education remains one of the biggest challenges facing families. It impacts parents’ ability to work, employers’ ability to retain talent and — most importantly — children’s healthy development. We brought real stories directly to legislators, making sure they heard firsthand how child care and education policies affect our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Capitol to raise their voices! Learn more and get involved here: uwgc.org/advocacy #UnitedWeThrive #PublicPolicy #Advocacy

United Way of Greater Cincinnati reposted this
This past weekend Leadership Cincinnati Class 48 spent two days together to learn about Cincinnati's resiliency and to brainstorm their projects to create positive change our community. The Friday session was hosted by the Cincinnati Museum Center. The class' morning started with a presentation on poverty in our region by their classmate amy weber from United Way of Greater Cincinnati. Following was another presentation by another classmate, Rickell Howard Smith from YWCA Greater Cincinnati on building resilient communities. The class then had the honor to hear Zahava Rendler tell her story as a Holocaust survivor, accompanied by classmate Jackie Congedo and the The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center. After presentations the group engaged in experiential learning opportunities including a VIA strengths workshop, touring the Holocaust and Humanities Exhibit, and a Poverty Simulation lead by classmate Ross Turpeau III, EdD, MBA, SHRM-SCP with Cincinnati Works. The next morning the class joined again at University of Cincinnati's Nippert Stadium to take what they have learned and experienced so far with Leadership Cincinnati and brainstorm ways in which they can impact Cincinnati's regional priorities. Thank you to Amy Weber from United Way of Greater Cincinnati and Felicity Tao, Aharon B., and Colleen McCarthy Blair from Greater Cincinnati Foundation for guiding the class on their project formation. We are excited to see what impact Class 48 has the the Cincinnati region! Thank you to our presenting sponsor Bank of America and our excellence sponsor Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP

🍻 This past Saturday, we joined Rhinegeist Brewery in their taproom for an incredible event honoring Black creativity, history and entrepreneurship! One of the highlights for us was the release of Ginger Mack, a tropical beer with ginger, named after Theodore Mack Sr., who established one of America’s first Black-owned breweries, Peoples Brewing Company. We’re incredibly grateful to Rhinegeist for selecting United Way’s #BlackEmpowermentWorks to receive $1 from every pint of Ginger Mack sold — a commitment to investing in Black-led ideas and solutions that uplift our community. 🌟 Thank you for your support! #UnitedWeThrive #BlackHistoryMonth
