We’re excited to announce that Bienestar has received $22 million from Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) to renovate two of our affordable housing communities: Willow Park (45 units) in Forest Grove and Sierra West (56 units) in Hillsboro. These 101 homes, acquired in 2007, will undergo vital updates to ensure long-term stability. This funding is part of OHCS’s larger $72.8 million initiative to preserve and add affordable housing across Oregon, prioritizing seniors, youth, and BIPOC communities. With support from our partners—Housing Development Corporation, LMC Construction, and Kasa Architecture—construction will begin by summer 2025.
