Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week is in December. So honored that we at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization had the opportunity to highlight how the Color of Gastrointestinal Illnesses, Inc. (COGI - Co-Gee) fights every day to advance health equity and break down barriers to care, from prior authorization and step therapy to copay accumulators, inflated cost-sharing requirements, and beyond! Because pbms should not be allowed to maximize profits by switching patients to ineffective or inferior treatments. As one of the COGI ambassadors explains “It kind of made me feel like my life didn’t matter.” - No patient should have to ever feel that way!
