The US-Israel Blavatnik Scientific Forum was created in January 2019 to establish scientific relationships, promote collaboration, and stimulate cooperation between the countries. November’s symposium tackled the topic of improving crops in the face of climate change and took place at the National Academy of Sciences in D.C. Peter Thoren, Executive Vice President of Access Industries and Head of the Access Family Office, joined Edward Buckler (Cornell University) and Avraham Levy (Weizmann Institute of Science) in delivering welcome remarks on the importance of establishing scientific relationships, promoting collaboration and understanding, and stimulating cooperation between U.S. and Israeli scientists. Talented scientists spoke to a number of topics spanning cropping systems, pathogen and pest control, and new breeding technologies - thank you to all those involved.
