Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre Ltd's Managing Director, Jens Goennemann, recently visited the North Australia Centre for Autonomous Systems | NACAS to check out progress on blueflite's AMEF project. Exciting innovations in #hydrogen technology for cargo #drones are taking shape!
AMGC's Managing Director, Jens Goennemann, joined me in the NT humidity during November for stakeholder meetings, project updates, and site visits. We were fortunate that Professor Hamish C. was available for us to visit the North Australia Centre for Autonomous Systems | NACAS facility to see how its industrial robot with an Automated Carbon Fiber Placement interchanger was being utilised for blueflite's AMEF project. It was interesting to hear the work they have been doing around the utilisation of pre-preg carbon fibre and how the composite is handling the Darwin humidity. This is the first project of its kind in the NT, using a very novel technology for Australia. The NACAS team has been working tirelessly to adapt the technology to suit the NT's climate, which included custom building the bobbin and nozzle ready for the carbon fibre tank prototyping phase.
