Benchmark [ bench-mahrk ] noun 1. a standard of excellence, achievement, etc., against which similar things must be measured or judged. Success in business comes from learning, growing, and collaborating. We're kicking off 2025 with an employee spotlight, and there’s no better person to start with than Alex Glasenapp! Alex has been a part of the BluePrint Engines family for 2 years and has set the standard for amazing work ethic. Working in the Block Department, primarily as our painter, Alex touches every block that comes through our facility. He’s always ready to lend a hand and positively impact everyone around him. Alex is a pleasure to work with, and his pride in his work makes the Block Department—and all of BluePrint—a better place. While he may humbly say he’s just doing his job, to us, he’s the definition of a great team member. It’s rare to see someone nominated by nearly every department in the building, but Alex managed to do just that. His positivity and dedication leave a lasting impression on us all. When he’s not at work, Alex has some fascinating hobbies! He takes care of his amphibious animals (including an adorable bearded dragon), enjoys cooking, playing board games, and riding his unicycle—yes, unicycle! He’s also an active member of the Bloodhound Car Club and even plays the banjo. From one wheel to four, Alex truly does it all! Thank you for everything you do, Alex. You’re an incredible asset to BluePrint, and we’re excited to kick off the year with you! #BluePrintEngines #BluePrint #EmployeeAppreciation

This week, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Travis Reiter, our dedicated Maintenance Technician and CNC Specialist, who has been an essential part of BluePrint for nearly 10 years. Travis’s hard work and passion for his craft are evident in everything he does. Known affectionately by his coworkers as "The Sponge," his remarkable memory and vast knowledge of past projects and equipment issues make him the go-to problem-solver on the team. His ability to recall crucial details ensures that no challenge goes unresolved. Travis’s versatility in the maintenance field is invaluable. He understands the importance of trust and adaptability within his team, tackling ever-changing priorities with expertise and quick thinking. His efforts to minimize downtime across the plant keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. Outside of work, Travis is an avid fisherman who loves spending time on the lake chasing “the big one.” When he’s not fishing, he’s crafting custom lures or gearing up for his next adventure. A passionate bike rider, Travis also enjoys participating in marathons, showcasing the same drive and dedication that he brings to his work. Last week, BluePrint Engines founder and CEO Norris Marshall participated in “Dean's Leadership Council” alongside other business leaders at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The day began with pitches from the Nebraska Start-up Academy, a great group of young entrepreneurs showing the council what they were working on and why it is valuable. After lunch, the council collaborated with students on what a formal mentoring program might look like.
Today, UNK’s College of Business and Technology hosted the Dean’s Leadership Council (DLC), a day packed with collaboration, mentorship, and strategic growth. From pitch day with the Nebraska Startup Academy to interactive student networking in speed-date style, students, mentors, and leaders discussed meaningful steps to advance our program. Lunch committee meetings fostered reflection, and the afternoon DLC discussions focused on goals, mentor-mentee alignment, and sustainable growth. Because, as we know: "If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together." Huge thanks to our dedicated council members, students, and faculty who make CBT’s impact stronger every day. Let’s go far—together! 💼
