We are honored that Blume Studios, where Space Explorers: The Infinite is currently wowing guests on Stage 1 through January 5th, was named MOST EXCITING DEVELOPMENT! We’d also like to give another round of applause for our talented friend Jason Hausman who was named Best Sound Designer! His magical and mesmerizing soundscape is currently accompanying Luke Jerram’s Gaia installation on Stage 1 at Blume Studios! “Hausman’s “Music for Gaia” acts as a homage to the incredible sphere we call home. The multiple layers include string sets, natural recorded sounds such as whale calls, and soft backing vocals performed by local singer/songwriter Emily Sage. The culminated result is a heavenly composition that grants a sense of peace to visitors to the exhibit.”

We had an absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD afternoon yesterday with our friends at Atrium Health Levine Children's! 🚀 Retired astronaut Joan Higginbotham, the third African-American woman to go into space (who lives right here in Charlotte) and our "Honorary Ambassador" for our engagement of Space Explorers: The Infinite now playing on Stage 1 at Blume Studios stopped by Seacrest Studios where she took questions from patients, played a fun space-themed game, posed for photos and signed autographs! The experience was also broadcast to every room in the hospital for all patients to enjoy! Patients also had the opportunity to try out the Space Explorers: The Infinite virtual reality experience and participate in fun space activities, exploring the limitless opportunities they have available to them! We are so proud of this partnership that supports future generations as they explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics, including an incredible STEM lab that is based in The Pearl CLT, Charlotte’s new innovation district!

We are so excited to share that so far, we have welcomed over 5,000 students from 62 schools to experience Space Explorers: The Infinite on Stage 1 at Blume Studios as part of our “moon shot” mission to bring 14,000 students to the space, including every single Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools 6th grader! Word is getting out that these field trips are OUT OF THIS WORLD! Yesterday, we hosted a group all the way from Durham! We are still actively fundraising to make our mission possible!
