🌍 Introducing BOOST-IN’s Regions of Opportunities! 🔍 Our next region of focus? #Mediterranean Coast, France – advancing innovative Water Circular Economy Solutions in the indirect potable reuse sector. ❓ Why the Mediterranean Coast? This region faces severe water scarcity challenges due to climate change, population growth, and a booming tourism sector, putting potable water supplies at risk. The Jourdain Project (2022–2026) serves as a foundation for scaling sustainable water reuse solutions here. 💡 What’s the goal? 🔹Develop and assess WACES for treatment and monitoring. 🔹Engage the public to build acceptance of potable reuse. 🔹Share insights and solutions across France and the EU. 👉 Learn how BOOST-IN is driving change: https://lnkd.in/eFSqpddJ #WaterReuse #CircularEconomy #ClimateAction #PotableReuse #WACES #Innovation

🌍 Introducing BOOST-IN’s Regions of Opportunities! 🔍 Our third region of focus? ✅ Lower Saxony, Germany – where Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin is at the forefront of identifying innovative WACES (Water Circular Economy Solutions) for nutrient and energy recovery from municipal wastewater. ❓ Why Lower Saxony? Despite local nutrient deficits, the region faces a nitrogen surplus due to significant inputs of organic fertilisers like manure and sewage sludge. With escalating energy and fertiliser costs and a national mandate requiring phosphorus recovery from sludge by 2029, the region is ripe for transformative Circular Economy solutions. 💡 What makes this region unique? An established network of stakeholders, including utilities, fertiliser distributors, farmers, water and agricultural authorities, and R&D entities. Growing interest in sustainable nitrogen management and energy recovery strategies. 👉See how BOOST-IN will intervene: https://lnkd.in/e-AtEaEE #WaterCircularEconomy #Sustainability #ResourceRecovery #WastewaterInnovation #BOOSTINProject #LowerSaxony

🌍Introducing BOOST-IN’s Regions of Opportunities! 🔍Our second region of focus? ✅Peloponnese, Greece – where AGENSO and National Technical University of Athens are Identifying innovative WACES (Water Circular Economy Solutions) for water and solids reuse from local beverage and dairy industries. ❓Why Peloponnese? Despite facing water scarcity, there are incentives for water reuse; however, only 6% to 7% of secondary-treated wastewater is currently being repurposed across these sectors. 👉Discover how BOOST-IN will intervene: https://buff.ly/4iDh8rS

✨ Last week, during the Expo AgriTech, our project coordinator Angela Magno Malagón gave a speech in the demo room, where she delved into the goals of BOOST-IN and what we're accomplishing so far. 📺BIOAZUL had a stand within the innovative projects zone, where partners presented the BOOST-IN eu #WACES solutions to address key challenges related to water scarcity and management. During this phase, we are working on the characterisation and mapping of innovations, a crucial step to ensure that the selected solutions have a significant impact on the target regions. 🤝 The best thing about the event was #connecting with so many people interested not only in BOOST-IN, but also in the experience that BIOAZUL has in the design and execution of innovative projects. These conversations reaffirm the importance of working together to build a more sustainable future. Full news: https://lnkd.in/dMqz5Fqy #EconomiaCircular #Agua #Innovación #Sostenibilidad
