  • ✨ “I’ve never done anything like this before. It really gets me to think about business decisions and how to balance competing and sometimes conflicting interests.” ✨ Straight from the student feedback files, this quote is why we do what we do. Our mission is to help students tackle real-world challenges—because life (and business) isn’t about easy answers; it’s about making the tough calls and learning from them. If you’re ready to see your students think critically, collaborate deeply, and engage in ways they’ve never experienced before, Breakout Learning is here to make it happen. 💬 What’s your take? Let’s talk about how we can bring this level of engagement to your classroom. https://hubs.li/Q030nd8k0 #StudentFeedback #BreakoutLearning #AIInEducation

  • We understand that the idea of incorporating AI into your teaching may seem daunting. You're not alone in this journey. But resisting AI could result in missing out on valuable learning opportunities and depriving your students of vital skills they'll require in their future career. Why not take the lead and demonstrate the positive, ethical use of AI as an enhancement, not a replacement, of human intelligence? Drawing inspiration from The Chronicle's recent write-up on "5 Simple Steps for AI Skeptics," we want to emphasize that embracing AI doesn’t mean going overboard. It’s about making mindful, progressive strides that align with your goals and cater to your students' needs. Here’s our perspective: 📌 Start small, but start somewhere. AI isn’t here to replace you—it’s a tool to enhance what you already do well. From drafting inclusive discussion prompts to helping structure class activities, small steps can yield big wins. 📌 Teach AI literacy. It’s crucial that students know how to critically engage with AI tools. Instead of fearing “cheating,” let’s teach them how to think critically about AI-generated content and use it ethically. 📌 Balance is key. The “AI Sandwich” approach (AI-brainstorm, human analysis, AI-refinement) is genius—it combines the best of both worlds. The bottom line? AI doesn’t have to be all or nothing. It’s about finding what fits your teaching style and goals. At Breakout, we’re all about creating tools that help you take those first steps confidently. Are you an AI skeptic? What would you need to feel comfortable using AI in teaching? https://hubs.li/Q030nb_j0 #Education #AI #TeachingInnovation

  • Closing out our Discussion Designer event highlights, with a powerful clip from Laura D’Antonio (The George Washington University). When it comes to international students, it can sometimes be challenging to get them comfortable speaking in class. But with our small-group discussion platform, Breakout can help level the playing field for every student, encouraging even the quietest student to find their voice and confidently contribute to discussions. "Another benefit of Breakout Learning," says Laura, "is the noticeable improvement I've seen in non-English speakers after they've had the chance to discuss with their peers." Breakout can be your partner in empowering ALL your students through meaningful, peer-led discussions that happen right on our platform. Our AI listens in on the conversation and gives you the insights into student participation and critical thinking that you miss when students don’t feel comfortable speaking up. Pretty cool, right? We’re here to answer any questions you might have - meet with our team to learn more. https://hubs.li/Q030m-Tq0 #EventHighlights #BreakoutLearning #AIinEducation

  • Another of our favorite moments from our Discussion Designer event on Dec 4! It was honestly inspiring to have professors from all over the world join us to find out how they could merge their course materials with Breakout’s AI-evaluated small-group discussions. And we couldn’t have done it without Ingrid Greene, MBA, MA from Loyola Marymount University who demoed our Discussion Designer right then and there. She’s been using custom Dialogs in her classes for the last year, and says she found Breakout to be a true partner in developing assignments for her classes. (What can we say, making life better for professors is what we’re all about!) No matter what material you’re using — article, case study, YT video, let our AI craft a custom discussion for it, and send the detailed student results right to you. 💬 Take the first step and meet with our team today: https://hubs.li/Q030m_rK0 #EventHighlights #BreakoutLearning #AIinEducation

  • Big shoutout to Jon Garfinkel, Professor of Finance at The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business! He’s added Breakout Learning’s custom Dialogs to his large undergrad classes, and loved the results. When you’re teaching over 500 students, getting a sense of each individual’s progress can be a bear. Breakout’s AI insights gave Jon a deeper understanding of every student’s progress. As Jon puts it, “I think Breakout Learning's assessment of the student performance … as well as the way that they reported it to me, did stuff that I just can't do on my own. Which is exactly what I'm looking for.” Watch the full video to learn more about Jon’s experience and how Dialogs could enhance your courses! 🎥 #SmallGroupDiscussions #HigherEd #AIinEducation

  • We're back with our second of four highlights from the Discussion Designer Introduction we held on December 4! This clip features our demo participant Laura Dantonio from The George Washington University, who shared how she’s added Breakout Dialogs to her classes. In her own words: “The other thing I really appreciated about the Dialog process this semester was just having Breakout help me answer that question of what makes a good discussion.” After using four custom Dialogs in her class, she got to experience Breakout improving the quality of each discussion, and the speed we can deliver them. The Discussion Designer is our next step for Dialogs. Take any content you’re already teaching (YouTube video, textbook chapter, case study, etc.) and craft a unique discussion around it in minutes. You can get all the benefits of Breakout discussions, all the AI insights on student learnings, without changing a single material in your syllabus. Whether you were online with us or not (it’s okay, we’ve got the recording), we want you to know this tool is for you. You can find the full recording here: https://hubs.li/Q02_Q7yt0 💬 Book time with us today to add AI-evaluated discussions to your courses. https://hubs.li/Q02_QpcV0 #DiscussionDesigner #BreakoutLearning #AIinEducation

  • Last week, we hosted a virtual event that brought together professors from around the globe—teaching marketing, business, finance, and beyond—to introduce our newest tool and explore how Breakout’s AI helps educators focus on what really matters: sparking curiosity and getting students to actually engage. Our new tool is called the Discussion Designer, and it works with your syllabus, not against it. You’ve already got great material — now you can layer in the magic of small-group discussions that get students to lean in. As Ramit puts it, “Teaching is about inspiration, not explanation.” Let’s be real: getting students to talk can feel like pulling teeth. And group work? A black box. Who’s contributing? Who’s checked out? What’s even happening in there? That’s exactly what this tool solves. It gives you better insight, more engagement, and—best of all—time to focus on what matters. This is just the start. The video below kicks off a 4-part series with everything you need: takeaways from the event, real success stories, and ideas you can steal for your classroom right now. 💬 Were you at the event? Drop your favorite moment in the comments. If not, no biggie—book some time with our team, and we’ll walk you through everything you need to know. https://hubs.li/Q02_tTCh0 #EventHighlights #BreakoutLearning #AIInEducation
