On this Eve of International Women's Day, Black Women On Boards honors and celebrates everyone stepping into their power, lifting others as they rise. That was beautifully evident at this summit gathering in NYC last year, kindly hosted by Salesforce. Let your light shine, radiating pure love into the world. Much as we love building community via virtual options, being together in the same room is of course beyond compare and something we especially look forward to. A great example being our Driving Innovation event last year at the incredible headquarters of Lucid Motors. Such a nice full slate of thought leadership, including an insightful fireside chat featuring the governance perspectives of Lakecia Gunter and Janet S. Wong. Thanks to them and to all who help us to live and lead as the very best versions of ourselves. #WomensHistoryMonth

They flew in from four different states to join us in a fifth one, sharing their expertise on the current landscape of corporate governance, and we’re grateful beyond measure. Continuing with our celebratory flashbacks for #WomensHistoryMonth, this one from our member summit in North Carolina... Ann-Marie Campbell, Senior EVP at The Home Depot, oversees U.S. stores, International Operations, Outside Sales & Service, and Home Depot’s Pro business, an engine driving the company’s next chapter of growth. Sabastian V. Niles is President and Chief Legal Officer at Salesforce where last summer he celebrated his first anniversary in the role. He’s actively involved in shaping responsible AI and propelling AI Agentforce at Salesforce. Yvette Hollingsworth Clark is EVP and Global Chief Compliance Officer at State Street. She was previously a senior leader at Wells Fargo, Barclays and Citi. Hannah Orowitz has been a Principal for two+ years at Compensia, a compensation consulting firm advising the compensation committees of tech and life sciences companies. A lawyer by training, she previously led the ESG advisory practice for nearly four years at Georgeson. Thanks to them all for joining us in lifting as they and we rise.

Carla Harris is a bestselling author, Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley, and board director at Cummins Inc., MetLife and Walmart. Christiane Pendarvis is Co-CEO at PATTERN Beauty and board director at hims & hers and Hootsuite. Brandi Thomas is Chief Audit Executive at General Motors and board director at Nextracker Inc. and Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC. Much to celebrate during this #WomensHistoryMonth!

Joyfully recalling an extraordinary Black Women On Boards summit (one of two last fall) when these amazing senior leaders joined us in North Carolina for a powerful day of learning and growing. Our thanks to everyone at Honeywell Global Headquarters for the warm welcome to Charlotte and to everyone who took part in making it so memorable. #WomensHistoryMonth

Meanwhile, in Atlanta... We love when members of Black Women On Boards tell us they're organically meeting close to home and in more intimate settings for added community building -- a perfect balance to when we have hundreds of leaders meeting in one room. Soaring ever higher!

Warm congratulations to our Co-Founder, Robin Washington, on being appointed as President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (COFO) of Salesforce, effective March 21! She will remain on the Salesforce board of directors, which she joined in 2013, and where she’ll have served as the Lead Independent from 2022 to 2025. Members of Black Women On Boards are proud to be in her orbit, deeply grateful for the many ways she inspires and encourages us to always think bigger and always give back.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., writing from Birmingham in April 1963, whom we join in honoring and remembering on this National Day of Service. Jan. 15 would have been his 96th birthday in Atlanta. He was just 39 years old the day his life ended in Memphis in April 1968. #Leadership #MLKDay

Downtown Chicago was the place to be on Dec. 13! Thanks to LaShonda Anderson-Williams and Michelle D Greene for bringing together a group of fellow members of Black Women On Boards for community building and future mapping, fueled by deep connection and actionable insights.
