Director of Computational Design at New Balance | 100X Lecturer and Keynote Speaker in Computational Design and AI
Understanding AI is about understanding the historical context of computation and human intelligence. Designers covered significant ground in understanding and explaining both, and computational design served as a vessel to discover crossovers between disciplines of art, science, and technology. https://lnkd.in/g7StUeXz The program for CDFAM - Computational Design Symposium in Amsterdam is starting to come together, with speakers from a wide range of applications from electromagnetic simulation with Flexcompute and custom footwear with Vivobarefoot to AI assisted DED toolpathing with Aibuild and architectural systems with Arup & McNeel Europe (Rhino), along with a keynote by Samsung Research America (SRA) it is already shaping up to be a solid event. If you would like to be involved, the sooner you submit, the better the chance there will be a space to fit as I fill out the program as applications come in. Please share if there is someone who you think may be a good fit. #ComputationalDesign #ComputationalEngineering #AdditiveManufacturing #GenerativeDesign #AIinEngineering #ArchitectureInnovation #DigitalFabrication #DesignSymposium #EmergingTechnologies #InnovationInDesign #3dprinting #Amsterdam

The way we engineer products today kills our capex, kills our time, and kills our F*CKING PLANET!!! We must improve. Today, Generative Engineering starts to open our technology for early access to solve these issues. Please critique what we have built so far, before a full release next year. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/ecTM3BEc
The way we do engineering today isn't built for the world we need tomorrow. Generative Engineering is changing that, and we're opening our technology for early access. We need engineers looking to be superpowered, and who can critique what we have built so far before a full release next year. Read the latest article about what we're doing below, and go to https://generative.vision/.

My paper 'BioForms' has been published by Cambridge University Press. This research explored the fusion of 3D printed wooden scaffolds, agent-based computational algorithms and biological growth in the generation of biodegradable internal wall panel systems. https://lnkd.in/gsaFYVte BioForms was a collaborative research project done by the Tectonic Formation Lab RMIT. Team members included Natalie Alima, Roland Snooks and Hesam Mohammed and Dasong Wang.
