Another win for Montgomery Whitewater! At the ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards, Montgomery Whitewater came home with the Alabama Grand Award for the state competition! From being one of TIME Magazine's World’s Greatest Places to Visit in 2024, to hosting the 2024 Olympic Trials for Kayak/Slalom, the project is consistently raising the bar. At its heart, Montgomery Whitewater was a revitalization project focused on creating a world-class whitewater park that would serve as a lifestyle center for healthy outdoor recreation as well as activate the challenged local economy, and it has done just that. GMC provided civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, environmental, geotechnical engineering, electrical engineering and transportation engineering services for the project.
