  • ATTENTION APPLE USERS: Apple phishing scams are ramping up. Criminals are attempting to trick you into giving out your personal information by pretending to be from Apple. They can take the form of emails, text messages, or phone calls. How to identify an Apple phishing scam Look for suspicious links: Scammers may send you to a fake website that looks like Apple's sign-in page. Check the sender: The sender's email address or phone number may not match Apple's. Look for requests to disable security features: Scammers may ask you to disable two-factor authentication or Stolen Device Protection. Check for requests to log in: Apple will never ask you to log in to a website or provide your password. Check for requests to update account information: Scammers may ask you to click on a link to update your account information. As with any tech-support scam, Apple will not call you to tell you that your device has been compromised. You have to be the one that initiates the call with Apple in order to get tech-support.

  • A new variant of this old hoax. This one is about Meta.AI. Here’s the truth: When you agree to Facebook's terms of use you provide Facebook a "non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any content you post.”The privacy declaration is worthless and does not mean anything. Stop sharing rubbish like this.

  • NOTICE! Out of an abundance of caution and just plain common sense we have decided to close our office today for onsite appointments. I have asked the office team to stay home. They are too important to me to put their health and safety at risk. We are open for virtual tech support appointments. We will reopen on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 for onsite tech support appointments. Thank you.
