  • This Sunday, we had the honor of celebrating the graduation of 11 students who completed the Missionary Church Planting program at Camino's School of Missions and Church Planting University. After a year of training, they are now ready to apply their knowledge in their communities, developing faith groups and transformative projects. At Camino University we continue to provide accessible education, eliminating geographic, linguistic and financial barriers to train leaders with a global vision, but with a local impact. We congratulate our graduates for their effort and dedication! We are excited to see everything they will accomplish on their way to positively impacting their communities.

  • At Camino, our values guide us every step of the way. As we begin this new year, we want to share a value that illustrates how we view teamwork: "We fly like geese." 🦢 Did you know that geese are among the most intelligent birds? They have excellent memory and don’t forget people or situations. They honk to encourage one another, and they take turns leading the flock. While geese are independent, they exhibit remarkable teamwork when they come together, guided by strong flocking instincts. Like geese, we strive to learn from and respect one another. We recognize that each person has an important and unique role within the organization. However, when it’s time to fly, we are united, focused, and purposeful. Together, we soar as a team, driven by determination and guided by our mission. As one flock, we go farther and achieve our goals.

  • This holiday season, Christmas with Camino was a heartwarming celebration that brought joy and hope to our community, closing the year on a truly meaningful note. We hosted this cherished event in four locations—Charlotte Hills Neighborhood, Town & County Neighborhood, areas affected by Hurricane Helene, and our very own Camino Campus. Together, we spread festive cheer and connected with neighbors across the state. Through our collective efforts, we delivered over 2,000 gifts to children, creating unforgettable moments and countless smiles. The joy in each child’s eyes as they received their gift was the greatest reward, reminding us of the true spirit of Christmas. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this event possible: participants, collaborators, volunteers, families, and Church members. Your dedication fuels our mission and helps us brighten lives year after year.

  • This Christmas season, as we prepare for our annual Christmas with Camino event 🎁, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Truliant Federal Credit Union for joining us in a wonderful day of wrapping gifts for children. Their generous support helps us bring joy and create a brighter Christmas for the children in our community. We are truly grateful for incredible partners like Truliant. 🎄🙌🏼

  • Our Medicine Delivery Day, in collaboration with NC MedAssist, was a great success! We provided community members with no-cost over-the-counter medications and vaccines. It was an honor to participate in this event, where we worked to ensure that as many people as possible have access to the resources they need to care for their health. This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission of equipping people to live healthy lives. A heartfelt thank you to our entire team, the MedAssist staff, and the volunteers for their effort and dedication. Their commitment is what makes initiatives like this possible.  🙌🏼

Through Camino University, we have launched a course designed to equip community leaders with the resources they need to maximize their impact. With modules and discussion groups conducted entirely in Spanish, this course focuses on key areas such as strategic planning, leadership development, and community engagement. This past Saturday, we welcomed the first cohort of Community Leaders to our campus for a special day featuring food, additional training on Mission & Vision, and an inspiring panel with Local Leaders. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event, especially our community engagement panelists, who generously shared their insights. We also extend our gratitude to Senator Tillis, who, while unable to attend in person, sent an encouraging letter praising our Community Leaders for their hard work and dedication. Lastly, a big round of applause for our Community Leaders—your commitment is truly making a difference in the communities you serve! Panelists: George Dunlap - Mecklenburg County Commission Chair Reneé Johnson - Charlotte City Council Claudio Jimenez - Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Anna Rey - Chief Executive Officer Charlotte Bilingual Preschool Sen. Mujtaba Mohammed - North Carolina General Assembly

This week, we welcomed University of North Carolina at Charlotte students to our campus. They had the opportunity to learn more about the issues the Latino community faces daily and how our organization works to address them through our holistic model of care. We extend our gratitude to Professor @SeanLangley of the UNCC Department of Sociology for making this enriching visit possible, as well as to our staff members who serve as outstanding brand ambassadors.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Mission Mobile Medical , the creators of our mobile unit—a key initiative that allows us to bring quality healthcare to various communities across the county. Thanks to their collaboration, we continue advancing our mission of equipping people to live healthy lives. Their generous donation has been essential in enabling us to provide medical services to those who need it most. We feel very fortunate to have welcomed them to our facilities, especially in our newly renovated clinic. Their support is a fundamental part of this project, helping to create a positive impact in the community.
