Our Medicine Delivery Day, in collaboration with NC MedAssist, was a great success! We provided community members with no-cost over-the-counter medications and vaccines. It was an honor to participate in this event, where we worked to ensure that as many people as possible have access to the resources they need to care for their health. This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission of equipping people to live healthy lives. A heartfelt thank you to our entire team, the MedAssist staff, and the volunteers for their effort and dedication. Their commitment is what makes initiatives like this possible. 🙌🏼

Do you know the names and doses of all your medications? The date you went in for that hospital procedure? Whether you are current with vaccinations? Keeping all of your medical information de-cluttered and safe is important whether you have a complicated medical history or not. Pick a day this month to 'compile and file' contact information, diagnostic tests and pathology reports, medical bills, family history, and more. 💡For advice on what to include and how to organize it, visit https://bit.ly/3Bv9mPF #OrganizeYourMedicalInformationMonth #healthcare #familyhealth

Happy Friday! It’s time for another edition of 𝑭𝒍𝒖 𝑭𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒔! This week, we’re spotlighting 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 – a vital feature for pharmacists looking to expand their reach and boost revenue during flu season (and beyond). Managing off-site clinic bookings has never been easier. Here’s how it works: 1️⃣ 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐩 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬: Add the name, address, and staff access information to get started. 2️⃣ 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞: Set your calendar availability and appointment details, or use our pre-populated templates for common appointment types. 3️⃣ 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤: Generate a link to share with patients, enabling them to book appointments directly and start building and gauging demand before your clinic launches. 4️⃣ 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞. Being able to live in the gray and consider and weigh competing truths and risks at the same time is what critical thinking is all about. I continue to believe that vaccines are crucial for individual and community health WHILE AT THE SAME TIME accepting that vaccine injuries happen. We need to step up: track the data, have the conversation, weigh the risks, and support those who fall into the “side effects may include…” bucket while still pushing for improved and effective vaccines. Thanks for the important and vulnerable post, Susan E. Schaffler. We need to be talking about this. #vaccineinjury #covidvaccine #vaccineresearch
In December 2020, in order to attend the Fortune Brainstorm Health conference, I received my COVID-19 booster. About two weeks later, still fatigued, my body ached like I had the flu. I thought my thyroid was acting up so I went in to get some blood tests. My thyroid was fine, but I had elevated inflammation markers indicative of some autoimmune reaction or condition. That began my journey into the world of rheumatology and chronic pain management, being diagnosed and then undiagnosed with a multitude of conditions including undifferentiated connective tissue disease and lupus. I still have no diagnosis. From December 2020 I experienced progressive inflammation, pain, and eventual immobilization of most of my body. I couldn't sleep, be an active and present mother to my young children, or focus and work effectively. I was laid off from my company in March 2023 and terrified of losing hope. I managed to get on disability and use the break in my career to focus on my health and healing. I changed my diet, engaged in aggressive occupational and physical therapy, and was on a bunch of different drugs. I am grateful everyday for my family, fiancée, friends, and doctor who all rallied to support me. Today I am about 70-80% recovered. I realize I am one of the lucky ones. There are tens of thousands of people who have been permanently injured by the COVID-19 vaccine. Most are pro-vaccine and remain pro-vaccine to this day. All have suffered alone, without adequate government, medical or scientific support. I searched for COVID-19 vaccine resources or online communities a million times, learning from the best out there (Susannah Fox). I continuously came up with nothing. The other day I discovered an organization called React19 and have been overwhelmed with emotion since (thank you, Fiona Lowenstein for the connection to Yale researcher, Dr. Harlan Krumholz!) Not only did it connect me with a community of others like me, but it validated my experience. These resources need to exist alongside information for the COVID-19 vaccine. Shockingly, risk is omitted. It is a disservice to us all to ignore the inconvenient truths about vaccine injury. www.REACT19.0rg https://vaers.hhs.gov/ #COVIDvaccine #COVID #LongCOVID #vaccineinjury #NIH #Vaccineresearch
