🌱🌍 Great News from the Tropical Summit! 🌍🌱 We’re happy to share that our coordinator Marc Corbeels (CIRAD) was invited as a keynote speaker at the 1st Tropical Summit in Lisbon! Marc participated in the Parallel Session on Agroecology and showcased our activities in the CANALLS project in his speech on “Agroecology as a Key Approach to Climate Resilience: Policy and Institutional Support for Agroecology”. The parallel session, titled "Catalyzing Agro-ecological Transitions in the Tropics in the context of Climate Change," highlighted the critical role of agroecology in building resilient food systems, especially across Africa and the tropics. A new report launched at #COP16, highlights the key role agroecology can play in shaping national biodiversity strategies while building sustainable and resilient food systems 🌱

As COP16 Colombia unfolds, let’s remember the unique role agroecology can play in tackling climate change, land degradation, and biodiversity loss🌱

🗣 Biovision Foundation, alongside WWF, Global Alliance for the Future of Food, Agroecology Coalition, and the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, will co-host at #COP16 the Side Event: "Boosting NBSAPs through Agroecology - Launch of a New Guidance Tool". 🍠 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: A new Guidance Tool that provides a detailed roadmap for mainstreaming #agroecological principals and practices into National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) will be presented. The tool offers insights into integrating agroecology into the mission, vision, and #biodiversity assessments of NBSAPs, with key intervention areas to promote #foodsystem transitions.
