  • We are thrilled to welcome Ann Marie Grimberg, M.Ed, to Capital Link’s Project Consulting Team, where she brings nearly 20 years of experience working with health systems. Ann Marie joins us from Heartland Alliance Health, an FQHC and Community Mental Health Center in Chicago, where she most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer. Having spent the majority of her career in the social services arena and specializing in mobile health and working with the homeless population, Ann Marie helped build a Coordinated Care Entity for vulnerable individuals with multiple chronic health conditions in Illinois. “I understand the various systems that impact the vulnerable populations that CHCs serve outside of healthcare. I recognize the intersection and access to these systems can significantly strengthen the care provided by CHCs, and I'm looking forward to sharing this knowledge when it comes to operational and facility planning work.” In her new role as Operations and Facilities Planner, Ann Marie will support health centers with facility and strategic planning and integrating primary care with behavioral health care and other social supports. Please reach out to Ann Marie for your strategic and space planning needs at agrimberg@caplink.org.

  • Congratulations to Community Health Development Inc. (CHDI), in Uvalde, TX, for closing their $10 million New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) project on Nov. 13, 2024. The project is located in Leakey, TX, a rural community about 40 miles from Uvalde where CHDI operates a growing health clinic operation in a leased facility. CHDI’s new state-of-the-art facility will serve as a source of pride for the community and will greatly assist CHDI in recruiting and retaining professional staff to provide services to Real County residents. When completed, the new and expanded services will enhance the health and well-being of the residents of Leakey and the surrounding region as well as provide significant economic impact with the new positions created by CHDI’s expanded operations. Capital Link is proud to have supported CHDI with capital planning assistance for this project, including physical space and operational planning, market analysis, and financing assistance services that included NMTCs. Financing partners for this project included TransPecos Development Corp and US Bank. The project has been underway since early last spring and will be completed in early 2025. #CHCs #FQHCs #UvaldeTX #LeakeyTX

  • Today we celebrate National Rural Health Day (NRHD) with the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) to raise awareness of the critical efforts of rural healthcare providers, especially community health centers, in addressing the healthcare needs of rural America. An important part of our mission at Capital Link includes providing advisory services and capital planning training and technical assistance to rurally-located health centers. We have also developed a library of resources on current trends and rising issues affecting rural centers, which are available on our website here: https://ow.ly/9TrW50Ub6GX Thank you to all the community health centers providing care for rural America every day! #PowerofRural #NRHD #CHCs #RuralHealthCenters #RuralAmerica
