Carolina Small Business Development Fund was proud and privileged to have and hear from Commissioner Adams and the rest of the great panelists, We also enjoyed having Cumberland County Commission Chair Kirk deViere. We look forward to partnering with Cumberland County, NC to drive economic development in the County, particularly with regard to small business growth for business owners of color, and businesses owned by women, veterans and businesses in rural areas. Thanks so much to our friend Jay Reinstein for assisting with connections. Thanks also to Mayor Mitch Colvin, Robert Van Geons, David Sullivan and Ricardo Murphy for their participation.
Cumberland County Commissioner Glenn Adams (center) served on a discussion panel at the Carolina Small Business Development Fund (CSBDF) Board of Directors Retreat, held Dec. 9 at the Tony Rand Student Center on the campus of FTCC. The CSBDF is a statewide nonprofit community development financial institution that provides capital, technical assistance and policy research to help small businesses in North Carolina.

This week we gathered our dedicated Board of Directors in Fayetteville for our annual Board Retreat. We strategized on ways to make CSBDF better, heard from local economic development leaders, visited a Fayetteville-based CSBDF client, and bonded as we focused on how to best serve NC's community of entrepreneurs. Thank you to Fayetteville Technical Community College for generously hosting our team, to all our speakers for sharing their insights, to Fayetteville-Cumberland Regional Entrepreneur & Business HUB for showing us their space, to The Makers Studio Fayetteville for welcoming us into your business, and to all our Board members for their participation and continued representation of CSBDF!
