What an amazing event: Night of Photojournalism in Paris last weekend, across the river from the main Paris Photo events. It featured a diverse cohort of 100 photographers whose work was projected on a giant screen and set to music as 1000 photographers, creatives, journalists, media people, and collectors tuned in and chatted about future collaborations. If you want to talk about bringing this to North America, give me a holler! CatchLight, Dysturb, Fondation Carmignac, Elodie Mailliet Storm, Erica Garber, Pierre Terdjman, Emeric Glayse

2025 will be a key year of expansion for CatchLight and our partners in advancing community representation and engaging audiences locally and globally. Our goal is not merely to highlight issues when they enter the national consciousness. We aim to establish lasting support structures that ensure continuous representation of the issues and solutions that truly matter to local communities for years to come.

Photographer Harlan Bozeman has spent years investigating the legacies of slavery and confronting the erasure of Black culture and its histories in the United States. As a 2024 CatchLight Global Fellow, he will co-curate an ever-evolving archive of images, stories, and audio that explore Black personhood and resilience in the town of Elaine, Arkansas. By expanding his photographic project into a form of social practice, Bozeman seeks to document how Elaine's history continues to shape the lived experiences of Black community members.
