The sea, the beach and sun some of the best therapy. I’ve been pretty ill the last few weeks, bloods all clear so looks like I’ve just been pushing too hard and have hit an exhausted state. I’m not one to say No or stop, but I am talking things a lot slower, and listening to my body. Thankfully I have great teams in the multiple businesses and they have been able to continue to make sure all clients are cared for and looked after. For the next few weeks I will be found embracing some self care, early nights and staying in one location. Life on the road doesn’t remove the day to stresses of work, life, family and everything else that we get thrown as us - it’s just a different location. For the winter I am glad to be in one place for a few months, knowing that I can focus more on me and enjoy these days when they arrive to regroup and refocus 🥰🥰 #selfcare #slowdown #nomadlife

I’ve been a bit quiet this last week or so, after a food poisoning then now getting struck down with a cold/flu bug I’m having to stop, rest and look after my body and mind - something I’m good at telling others to do but not taking heed myself. One of our clients recently visited another local accountant. I was pleased, they said it didn’t come down to our service they wanted to check the price as they had received a call from a random supplier of accountancy services offering them a service for a third of our price! Our fellow local accountant was a similar price and told the client “they were in safe hands” It’s great to know they were not undercutting/putting us down to obtain work. As for the phone call; That’s a great saving ……….. but they only would do; Self Assesment What about bookkeeping, vat returns, accounts, CIS and any forward planning, budgets, project costings and tracking. “Oh you would have to do that yourself!” So when you get a call offering a cheaper service make sure it’s the service you need and provides the service you want! So I’m back in Cornwall for a few days, having been over 3000 miles this week it’s been a whirlwind! But we’ve secured our next home - it doesn’t look much at the moment, but we will be building our very own overland camper in partnership with Motorcraft Adventure Developments, that as a family we will live in, travel and along with homeschooling - I will continue to run Celtic Bookkeeping & Accountancy Services with my bestie and as a family will be travelling the U.K., Europe and further afield and sharing the journey. For now it’s planning the build, making the truck bigger and turning it into a home!
