On Friday, March 1st, 2024, CFA Society Miami hosted the 2023-2024 CFA Institute Research Challenge Florida Local Final. Starting with eighteen teams, the final six gathered on the beautiful campus of the University of Miami Herbert Business School in hopes of advancing to the sub regional round of competition. All six teams impressed the judges with their exceptional analytical, valuation, and presentation skills. The six finalist teams were: Stetson University School of Business Administration - RGIP Team A Barry University D. Inez Andreas School of Business and Public Administration Florida State University - College of Business University of Florida - Warrington College of Business - Team A University of Miami Herbert Business School - Canes 1 University of Miami Herbert Business School - Canes 2 Congratulations to this year's winner, Stetson University School of Business Administration Roland George Investment Program team, comprised of team members Max Miller, Isabella Thomsen, Sugeeth Sathish, and Braden Hill! We are very proud of all the hard work these teams put in to this competition and look forward to all the great contributions these students will make to our industry in the future! Special thanks to our generous host University of Miami Herbert Business School and Ann Olazabal for graciously providing facilities for our competition.
