A good example of how Greenbacker's portfolio company Chaberton Energy partners with companies across the U.S. to develop solar projects, the company announced its plans to install a solar power generation plant at Maruichi Leavitt Pipe & Tube, LLC's 44-acre campus in Chicago. In addition to powering MLP&T's operations, the plant will also provide affordable, clean energy access to the local community through a subscription-based community solar program. Learn more about how the project will mitigate 282,000 metric tons of carbon emissions below.

Proud to be partnering with Maruichi Leavitt Pipe & Tube, LLC (MLP&T) to develop one of Chicago's largest solar installations. The project will span over 1 million square feet at MLP&T's corporate campus, reducing carbon emissions by 282,000 metric tons — equivalent to planting 4.7 million trees. 🌳🌳🌳 When complete, this hybrid, multi-phased installation will power MLP&T's operations and provide clean energy access to the local community through a subscription-based community solar program. We're proud to partner with Solar Energy Services, Inc. to bring clean, renewable energy to the North Beach Food Pantry (NBFP) in North Beach, Maryland. 🤝 Next year, we’ll be working together to install a solar project on NBFP’s new building. 🌱💡 This will help NBFP save on energy costs so the food pantry can focus even more on their mission: providing dignity and choice to families in need. It was a pleasure to celebrate the start of construction at NBFP's recent groundbreaking ceremony!
