Over the past few months, we've been hearing a lot from our clients about the role of AI in DEI, HR, and L&D. Before the new year, I wanted to share an article written by our co-founder, Dr. Nabeel Ahmad, which was published in the October issue of TD Magazine, ATD's monthly publication. The article explores the impact of AI within L&D, and I believe you may find it insightful. https://lnkd.in/d_KxYJum

In a world where every firm claims to have superpowers, it's easy to get lost in the noise. These approaches often lead to confusion rather than clarity, leaving decision-makers overwhelmed and unsure of their options. Don't fall victim to buzzwords. Instead, lead with KNOWLEDGE, INSIGHTS, and WISDOM. By tackling real challenges head-on, you'll stand out and drive revenue growth. Book a consultation today with Bob Wiesner (Principal, Organizational Effectiveness) and Shauna Griffiths (Sr. Consultant, Organizational Effectiveness) to talk about some of the ways that you can be winning more often: https://lnkd.in/dHbHKyu6
Principal in the Organizational Effectiveness Practice at changeforce | Helping professional services firms grow revenue and increase value | My book: "Winning is Better" is now available on Amazon
More and more of our clients are getting this question, often at the early stages of a new business pursuit: "What's your superpower?" How would you answer it? I've heard all of these: "We harness the power of AI." "We see the future." "We generate brilliant solutions." "We get better data and use it in better ways to make better decisions." "We are passionate about what we do." "We build brand fans." "We get great outcomes for our clients." Hmmm. Gotta unpack this. First, why does "superpower"matter? Does it predict that you're actually the best fit for the business objectives and the culture of the prospect? Or that you'll understand their situation, relate to them on a personal level, generate solutions that will work, charge a fair price that reflects your true value? You know, the things that actually predict whether they should consider you. I understand why the question is being asked. There are sooooo many firms out there that look alike and sound alike. Their credentials seem to be interchangeable to the decision-maker, the procurement lead, the business owner. So, they need some sort of way to categorize competitors. And that really matters to the prospect. Because their first exposure to many firms is through look-alike and sound-alike websites, marketing materials, networking events, RFQ/RFP responses, initial meetings, and so on. In other words, all they know about you when you first show up on their radar is that you do the same thing that many others do in what seems, to them, to be in much the same way as the other guys do it. So, how do you answer the "What's your superpower" question? You're gonna get the question, right? Maybe not, if you take the right steps. My teammate Shauna Griffiths and I, along with our changeforce colleagues, have a different idea. We want you to initiate contact with prospects based on your KNOWLEDGE, INSIGHTS and WISDOM. Not based on your credentials, capabilities, bios, and all the other stuff that, to the prospect, isn't distinguishable from your competitors. Knowledge, Insights and Wisdom, as the content of your initial contact with prospects, immediately changes the conversation. Your superpower is no longer relevant. It's replaced by the idea that you can help them address the challenges and opportunities that really matter to them. DM me and Shauna Griffiths to talk about how we can set you on the better path to winning more often, superpower or not.
