In 2024, CAF America achieved remarkable milestones, distributing over 10,000 grants to over 3,900 grantees across 108 countries. We look forward to fostering new and ongoing collaboration with our grantees, donors, and network partners in the new year!

Nepal faces incredible challenges as one of the world’s most disaster prone countries, with events such as earthquakes, landslides, and weather storms contributing an estimated $218 million in economic losses each year. Monsoon-induced floods displaced 10,000 families and claimed 250 lives, further highlighting the need for both immediate relief and long-term resilience programs. CAF America’s network partners, the Community Development & Environment Conservation Forum(CDECF) Nepal and Bagmati Welfare Society Nepal, have stepped up to provide critical aid, including food, clothing, transitional housing, livelihood recovery, and disaster risk reduction training. Now more than ever, communities in Nepal need support from donors, development partners, and government agencies to recover and rebuild. On December 27, India’s Ministry of Home Affairs announced an extension of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) eligibility certificates pending renewal to March 31, 2025.
