Nepal faces incredible challenges as one of the world’s most disaster prone countries, with events such as earthquakes, landslides, and weather storms contributing an estimated $218 million in economic losses each year. Monsoon-induced floods displaced 10,000 families and claimed 250 lives, further highlighting the need for both immediate relief and long-term resilience programs. CAF America’s network partners, the Community Development & Environment Conservation Forum(CDECF) Nepal and Bagmati Welfare Society Nepal, have stepped up to provide critical aid, including food, clothing, transitional housing, livelihood recovery, and disaster risk reduction training. Now more than ever, communities in Nepal need support from donors, development partners, and government agencies to recover and rebuild. Together we can rebuild lives and strengthen Nepal’s resilience. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eRfPPpTq

Last week, I had the privilege of attending a gathering of the CAF International Network of partners. It was wonderful to connect in person with our CAF International Network colleagues, old and new, in beautiful, sunny Buenos Aires. We had inspiring discussions on ways we can collaborate more to increase the good we're doing in the world, both as a collective network and bilaterally amongst the different organizations. We are excited to continue growing and strengthening our network and fostering meaningful partnerships to advocate for a culture of global philanthropy. Thank you to Marijana Sevic and Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) for organizing this event and thank you to all our partners, Red Argentina para la Cooperación Internacional (RACI), IDIS - Instituto para o Desenvolvimento do Investimento Social, BCause Foundation, Kenya Community Development Foundation, Indonesia Philanthropy Association, @ghana philanthropy forum, and Southern Africa Philanthropy Foundation, for your commitment to international philanthropy and making a fair and sustainable future for all.
