Thank you Elizabeth Taylor for calling it out, and Ben Stokes for amplifying something so many people forget… Those within the LGBTQ+ community make life better for everyone.
Elizabeth Taylor put it perfectly in 1990: “Take away all the paintings, all the music, all the dance, all the films, all the theatre, all the architecture, all the science, all the books; everything that was created by [LGBTQ+] people…there would be so little left that what was left wouldn’t even matter.” Take a moment to think this through… Just think about everything that was created over the past 1, 2, 3, …, years by founders and creators and creatives. We are people (yes, because that’s what we ALL are!) who make life more beautiful and interesting. I challenge you to not touch anything made by an LGBTQ+ person or where an LGBTQ+ person had a hand in creating it for 1 day. Yeah - that’s no designer clothes, no medicines, no technology (Chat GTP…actually make that your entire computer), no payments (Stripe/Paypal)..should I keep going? I’m so proud of the amazing founders we are backing at Chasing Rainbows - because they are truly doing exceptional things. Don’t allow their creativity to be limited.
