What a morning out at Springline with our friends at Timmons Group and Hourigan!
Too many partners to list here, but an exciting kickoff to a redevelopment years in the making. Looking forward to moving in next month and watching Springline grow up!
Timmons Group is proud to announce that its new headquarters at the Springline at District 60 development in Chesterfield County will be powered, in part, by a 126 kW solar energy system facilitated through Dominion Energy Solutions On-Site Solar Program. The new solar project ensures that Timmons Group’s offices in the 150,000 SF Class A building will be net zero in energy consumption.
The solar installation is anticipated to produce 156,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy annually, offsetting 122 tons of CO₂ emissions—a meaningful contribution to both the local community and the environment. Timmons Group worked closely with Dominion Energy Solutions to implement their innovative On-Site Solar for Organizations program.

Fusion is coming... to Chesterfield County, Virginia.
In an enormous development for Commonwealth Fusion Systems and for the commercialization of fusion energy, CFS has committed to build the world's first grid-scale fusion power plant, ARC, in Virginia. We evaluated more than 100 sites around the world before settling on this location, a good site with good infrastructure and a strong appetite for the firm supply of power we'll provide.
We'll independently finance, build, own, and operate this first-of-its-kind technology so we can start generating clean, carbon-free energy in the early 2030's. We'll also collaborate with Dominion Energy Virginia to help smooth ARC's path to the grid, benefitting from their development and technical expertise while helping the utility learn about fusion.
ARC will produce about 400 megawatts of electricity — enough to power 150,000 homes in the area or some of the largest commercial and industrial sites.
Watch the video to learn more and hear from our CEO, Bob Mumgaard, about the announcement. For more details, check Bob's blog post about what this means for CFS: https://bit.ly/4gF0s1c#PowerMoves
