Just a few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of celebrating our annual "Connecting Philanthropy and Community" event. The purpose of this evening was to honor and celebrate some of our dynamic partners in this important work. It was an inspiring night, highlighted by a powerful keynote from Dr. Yanique Redwood, PhD. Her message of solidarity resonated deeply, providing exactly what we needed as we continue strengthening relationships across our community. This year, we proudly recognized two remarkable leaders for their impactful contributions. Hilary Ward, Director of Global Philanthropy at McDonald’s, was honored as an Advocate for Equity, and Cecile De Mello, Executive Director of Teamwork Englewood, was celebrated as our Champion of Social Justice. CAAIP is proud to honor these powerful women who drive meaningful impact every day in their respective roles. Congratulations, Hilary and Cecille—we look forward to witnessing your continued success! For those who were unable to join us, you can view the event photos taken by Ajani Akinade Studios by clicking this link, https://lnkd.in/gGghcXah. We’ve also included a brief survey to gather your feedback and help shape future CAAIP events. Your input is invaluable, and you can access the survey by clicking this link, https://lnkd.in/gzQmMJ6q. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Redwood for her inspiring words and generous spirit. Her unwavering commitment to the liberation of Black women and to racial justice has reinvigorated us as we push forward in building a more equitable community for African Americans.
