  • "After my first job out of college, I found myself considering multiple career paths in a variety of industries, but the restaurant industry was not on my radar. A friend’s recommendation led me to my job as a marketing director for a Chick-fil-A restaurant, and I fell in love with it. Then one day, the Owner-Operator asked me, “Have you ever considered a long-term career at Chick-fil-A?” and then his next statement shocked me.     He said, 'I think you could be a better Owner-Operator than I could be.'     That Operator’s confidence in me was so impactful, especially because he’s a leader that I respect so highly. But more than that, he saw potential in me and committed to supporting me in growing the competencies that I needed for my career.    Leading people and developing others has always been a passion for me, and I quickly fell in love with the operations side of the business. I worked at that restaurant in a variety of roles for nearly 5 years, and I was fortunate to take my next career growth step in late 2021 - I started my journey with the Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program (LDP).    As an LDP participant, I traveled across the country for nearly 3 years, working at Chick-fil-A restaurants as an interim manager. My goal was to become a Chick-fil-A Owner-Operator.    I learned quickly through real-world challenges that I solved alongside my talented teams in each of the locations I have served at.    Chick-fil-A's Leadership Development Program accelerates young professionals with a wide variety of career aspirations. Although there’s no guarantee of a full-time position after completing the program, LDP graduates are well positioned to take on new leadership roles wherever their next career opportunity may take them.    As for me, I’m excited to share that I did achieve my career goal. I’m now the proud Chick-fil-A Owner-Operator at the new restaurant location in Van Buren, Arkansas."   — Brittany Cook, former Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program participant   #ChickfilALeadershipDevelopment

  • “I’m a Senior Technical Program Lead on the Chick-fil-A Play app, which aims to create moments of connection for families with fun and unique content.    Oftentimes in technology, you don't get to be a part of the initial phases of strategy and planning. It was a really unique experience for me to be part of the vision-casting for this app, including influencing the vision statement for the app and imagining game experiences. As a technologist, being a part of the product inception and design was a lovely experience that I haven't had anywhere else.    Before arriving at Chick-fil-A, Inc., I worked in back-office systems like supply chain merchandising, and so I was focused more on understanding business processes and how to create efficiency. This project, on the other hand, was about creating moments for people. We asked ourselves, ‘How can we demonstrate care through technology?’    From a technology standpoint, we had to figure out the best way to make real-time content updates to the app, and to lay the technical groundwork for what this product would be. I got to work with some of our more senior engineers to lay out that foundation and understand architecture.     The strategy side, the design side, the technology side: I’ve gotten to see this project from so many vantage points. I’ve been part of the whole life cycle. I never thought I’d have the opportunity to do work like this in my career.”    — Kelley Hawkins, MBA, CSPO, Consumer Brand Experiences Team     #Tech #Software #LifeatChickfilAInc

  • “You don’t get years back. You really don’t. One of the biggest differences I noticed when I left the traditional public accounting and came to Chick-fil-A, Inc., was how many people here have families. I started at a traditional accounting firm when I was single. When I got married and we started considering growing, I knew I needed a change.     I realized there’s more to my life than just building a professional life.”  — Olamide Okelowo, CPA, Capital Assets and Reporting Team  #LifeatChickfilAInc #PublicAccounting

  • “At Chick-fil-A, Inc., we seek to deliver care to the whole person, and our benefits are just one of the ways that the company delivers care. Full-time Staff receive unparallelled health care and retirement benefits. The Total Rewards team administers benefits to support families through various seasons of life. We offer choices to serve full-time Staff child care needs through either the subsidized on-campus child care center or a child care reimbursement. Staff have access to a variety of family support services ranging from child care, elder care and pet care, to education and household support. We want to make sure families are supported, whatever their needs. Our well-being programs include health coaching, advanced primary care and fitness programming — including an on-site gym and virtual services — that are all available to full-time Staff, their spouses, and in some cases their dependents. Access to all these specialties allows Staff and their families to have well-rounded and integrated support when working toward their goals. We recognize that what’s happening at home absolutely impacts how a person shows up at work. The truth is that it’s easy to talk about care. But it’s concrete action that makes the difference.”    — Melissa Todd, Total Rewards Team  #LifeatChickfilAInc #Benefits #WorkFullofCare

  • Each year, the Chick-fil-A, Inc. Digital Transformation & Technology department (also known as DTT), hosts their annual Thanksgiving celebration – a unique moment to gather together and foster a spirit of gratitude, restoration, and encouragement.     Hear what one DTT staffer had to say about her experience:    “This year, I attended my first DTT Techsgiving as a staff member. This event celebrates one of my favorites of Chick-fil-A's core values: “We're Better Together”. It feels special to work at a company where we are encouraged to get to know our co-workers beyond their role. I love that these values aren't just words, but are woven into everything.    My favorite part of this event was the multiple opportunities to create new relationships around our department. We were able to participate in a community service event together packing meal bags, playing games, and eating sweet treats together. At the end of the day, we even got to see some hidden talents with a DTT talent show. In the midst of all the innovation and hard work that goes on at Chick-fil-A, it is events like this where I am especially thankful for the culture where we celebrate each other as well as our wins.”    - Mary Jane Rose, Customer Technology Solutions, Tech    #DigitalTransformationAndTechnology #Thanksgiving #Tech
