We aim to create a world without poverty where every child, family and community is connected, productive and thriving.
About us
Children International is a top-rated global nonprofit that delivers child and youth development programming to break the cycle of generational poverty. Through a customized approach, we serve young people in Colombia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, India, Guatemala, Mexico, the Philippines, Zambia and the United States for the first two decades of their lives. We provide access to health care, education, positive role models, and the life and job skills they need to become gainfully employed. When equipped to improve their own lives, young people also transform their families and communities, and, as a result, multiply good in the world. Together, we can partner with children, youth and their families to change their lives – and shape the positive trajectory of future generations and communities. Want to be a part of this movement? Learn more at children.org. About half of those living in poverty are children, and we believe ending poverty starts with them. Without help, children in poverty become adults in poverty. Their future children are born into poverty, and the cycle continues. Together, we can put an end to generational poverty with a long-term, customized program that helps children get the education, life skills and confidence to change their lives – and the lives of future generations too. Our unique, global approach focuses on four key areas: Health, Education, Empowerment, and Employment. Want to be a part of this movement? Learn more at our website: children.org

Children International leaders Kristen Mallory and Mary Mukomba visited Washington, D.C. with their NGO peers earlier this month to convene discussions, in partnership with Corus International, about the importance of responsive and effective health systems for children, youth, and communities around the globe. During this workshop, they and other global health experts identified opportunities to collaborate in advancing efforts that enable local citizens to advocate for equitable health services. #ChildrenInternational #CorusInternational #globalpartnerships #globalhealthcare #endpoverty #multiplygood

Congratulations to Children International's longtime partner, ZUGU Case, and company founder Tim Angel, for being recently profiled in USA Today! As noted in the article, ZUGU Case's generous support of our community center in Colombia, consistent investments in our mental health programming for children and youth, and commitment to our signature workforce development program Into Employment, are transformative. This couple's sponsorship journey began years ago when Ben wanted to do something unique for Jun’s birthday. After some research, he provided Jun with the gift of sponsoring a child through CI. They now support two youth from the Philippines. Keep watching to learn about their recent visit to the island nation and the genuine sense of connection here: https://ow.ly/TGIf50U1zHW

The World Bank estimates that 70% of children in underdeveloped nations are not able to read simple texts by age 10. Lacking access to critical resources such as computers, books or academic reinforcement assistance can cause them to fall behind their peers, without the support they need to catch up. Keep watching to see how together, we’re helping to break educational barriers and boost academic outcomes for tens of thousands of children like Loraine across the globe. 📖 https://ow.ly/80TM50TXwEk

We are grateful for social investors who contribute to Children International's mission, and our board member Roland Paanakker is chief among them. In this week's Insights & Impact blog, he shares how supporting the children, youth and families we serve aligns with the values he and his wife, Barbara, hold as longtime philanthropists. #ChildrenInternatioal #globalgiving #endpoverty #philanthropy #socialinvestors #childandyouthdevelopment
