  • 🎄 CIAT Wessex Region aspiration Christmas Social at Roxy Leisure Ltd - Roxy Ball Room & Roxy Lanes, Bristol 🎄 This week, the Wessex Region’s emerging Architectural Technologists gathered at Roxy Lanes in Bristol for an evening of networking, friendly competition, and festive fun. Whether reconnecting with university friends or meeting new faces for the first time, the evening brought together professionals across the region for some serious (and not-so-serious) play. We started with bowling. Controversially, no gutter barriers were allowed, which sparked outrage among some (Jacob Wainwright) and added pressure for the rest! Once the pins were left in shambles, we moved to the lower floor for pool and ping pong, where hidden talents emerged and the competition heated up. Beyond the games, events like these reflect the core of CIAT aspiration: nurturing, networking, and developing. They’re a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, build professional relationships, and create the kind of community that truly supports career growth. A huge thank you to incoming CIAT Wessex aspiration Chair Adam Green, and Joe Hyett for his invaluable assistance. As 2025 approaches, we’re gearing up for more exciting events across the regions and centres to help our members connect, collaborate, and thrive. Stay tuned for announcements in the new year—you’ll definitely want to be part of what’s next! #CIAT #CIATaspiration #ArchitecturalTechnology #Networking #WessexRegion

Next on our new series to introduce our talented CIAT aspiration chairs! ⭐ Adam Green - CIAT Wessex Region aspiration Chair ⭐ Adam’s started his journey with his foundation in architecture at University of the West of England, before undertaking his BSc in Architectural Technology + Design. He graduated with the CIAT Aspiration Award and the Gold Student Representative Award in 2022. Along the way, he discovered his love for Revit (we’ve all been there) and tackled ambitious projects like a marine conservation centre in his final year. Currently, at ECE Westworks, Adam’s been diving into the Redcliff BTR project in Bristol. From leading key design aspects to fortnightly site visits, he’s gained valuable insights into the real-world connection between pixels and bricks. Adam’s aspiration journey started as a student rep and evolved into a platform to mentor others, build industry networks, and even refine his public speaking. His advice? Get stuck in, use your network, and remember—it’s hard work, but hey, so is everything worth doing!
