Our Swiss partners Circular Economy Switzerland, SHIFT Switzerland, and sus.lab | ETH have done an amazing job curating the itinerary. 📅 Delegation dates: October 19-26, 2025 ⏰ Deadline to apply: May 5, 2025 📍 Cities on the itinerary: Zurich, Lausanne, and Basel This delegation has a special focus on the built environment, including adaptive reuse, material circularity, urban design for human health and community-building, nature-based design solutions, and new models for local policy and partnerships. Delegation members can expect guided walking and bicycling tours, expert-led presentations, collaborative workshops, and meaningful networking opportunities, all while developing relationships with peers who represent geographic, cultural, and professional diversity. Our tour of Texas Recycle Warehouse's mattress recycling facility in San Marcos, TX was a huge success. At least 30 professionals from solid waste, government, and hospitality attended. Super grateful that owner Michael Zachmann made time to teach everyone how they collect, deconstruct, and reclaim materials from mattresses. Meet Leslie Billhymer, CPHC, CEM, one of 21 delegation members set to explore circularity in Copenhagen and Malmö in April 2025! 🌍 Leslie has more than 15 years of experience in real estate, design, and construction. As Principal at Corona Partners Real Estate, she has worked in complex technical and regulatory environments and has deep expertise in the implementation of sustainability in the built environment. She is certified as a Certified Passive House Consultant from Phius and a Certified Energy Manager from AEE. At the core of Leslie’s work is the value buildings hold for their users, communities, and ecosystems. Leslie’s clients include the City of Philadelphia, Rowan University, and Elwyn.
