We are proud to have one of the longest-standing AmeriCorps partnerships in the region, placing members on school campuses for more than two decades. About 24 percent of our Central Texas team members are former members of the national service program. 

Communities In Schools (CIS) and San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District came together last week to celebrate supporting students across all SMCISD schools. The event featured a panel discussion with SMCISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Cardona, Director of Social Emotional Learning and Guidance Adriana Guerrero, and CIS Chief Executive Officer Sharon Vigil, who shared insights into their collaborative successes and future initiatives.
