From optimizing operations at my father's HVAC company to launching Clean Plate at Techstars Startup Weekend, and now pursuing the 2024-2025 New Venture Challenge - each step has been a building block toward our mission of reducing food waste through technology. Excited to continue growing Clean Plate while representing Duquesne's spirit of entrepreneurship! 🚀 #DuquesneAlumni #Entrepreneurship #Sustainability #StartupLife #FoodTech"
🚀 Nolan Sulpizio (B'24) | CEO & Founder of Clean Plate Innovations While studying Supply Chain Management and Entrepreneurship, Nolan (center) used his knowledge to optimize operations at his father's HVAC company. As his entrepreneurial skills sharpened, he co-founded and served as Co-President of the Duquesne Entrepreneurship Council, a student-run organization. This role deepened his immersion in the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, where he competed in and led pitch competitions. During Techstars Startup Weekend, a 54-hour hackathon, Nolan launched Clean Plate Innovations, an AI-powered waste-tracking software for large-scale dining operators. Clean Plate helps optimize inventory while reducing costs and food waste. 🌎 Through Innovation Works' Scalable Residency program, Nolan and his team refined their prototype and gained valuable credibility. After graduating this spring, Nolan joined Wesco as a Supply Chain Analyst. He's continuing to grow Clean Plate and has entered the 2024-2025 Duquesne New Venture Challenge. "At Duquesne, every first day of class felt like a new door opening. I gained hands-on experience that has prepared me for the next steps in my career," says Nolan, who credits Staci Offutt, Director of the Center for Excellence in Entrepreneurship, for her mentorship and guidance. #Entrepreneurship #TechForGood #Startup
