The GREATER WASHINGTON REGION CLEAN CITIES COALITION (GWRCCC) has released its 2024 Jumpstart Report, paving the way for expanded #biodiesel access at fuel stations in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region. The report outlines essential measures to advance cleaner transportation and enhance air quality including engaging with the community and providing valuable resources to gas station owners to address the urgent demand for alternative fuel solutions. Thank you to our members for joining us in Washington, D.C. this week for our November Membership Meeting. This year's meeting focused on what's ahead for #cleanfuels in 2025, Governing Board elections, Hill visits, and thoughtful discussion on feedstock demand and growing markets for #biodiesel, #renewablediesel and #SAF. It takes a collaborative effort to ensure long-term success, and we remain committed to this industry and our members as we work together to meet our vision of 6 billion gallons by 2030. A special thank you US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Fuel Programs Director, Paul Machiele, for speaking about #RFS volumes for 2026 and beyond; and to Kevin Griffen, Legislative Assistant, Rep. André Carson (IN-07) and Reed Powell, Senior Policy Advisor, Rep. W. Gregory Steube (FL-17) for highlighting the value of the Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation tours. Todd Du Mond and I hit the halls this week with Clean Fuels Alliance America continuing our mission to bring fuels that are environmentally friendly, good for farmers and available now to the forefront of transportation discussions. A very special thank you to Steve Dodge for accompanying us on a very successful day of hill visits.

I enjoyed my discussion at the Alternative Fuels & Chemicals Coalition conference with Liam Donovan, Tim Gannon, Timothy Urban, and Grace Enda, though Grace had important business to take care of and stepped away before this pic was taken. I think my biggest takeaway from the conversation was that in earlier days a Republican trifecta would made me more dismal about the implementation and/or extension of tax credits based on #environmental performance to promote #cleanfuels, but #biofuels bring rural and urban interests together. While there will likely be more bartering about the details, I have more faith that we will see clean fuel tax credits prevail. Thanks for an excellent session and wonderful insights from these colleagues! I always look forward to discussions where I have to bring the wonky, technical work I do back to reality and into the larger landscape. That is, after all, the whole point.
