To all of the great women who came to our Salons (and others) what do you think you can do to take advantage of this massive change in international aid? We women have the chance now to step into the void created, to find solutions or to roll out solutions. In some ways international aid has been crippling, and has not even gone to the brilliant women with lived experiences who have the answers. Please join me in this chat to talk about where the opportunities are for you, for women, for small and local nonprofits, for entrepreneurs - in the face of this massive loss of aid. https://lnkd.in/egtiUvFD
Climate Resilience Salons
Information Services
Amplifying concrete solutions and businesses of women-led migrant and climate organizations and climate-tech companies.
About us
There has never been a greater need to build climate resilience. And who knows more than migrant, displaced and refugee women, female 1st responders and women in climate change? That's why we're convening climate resilience salons and bringing together the women who have the most to offer from 27 climate impacted countries in a series of 7 Salons in different regions and bringing their knowledge, experience, solutions and actions to COP28. We are looking for Supporting Partners, organizations that are connected to networks in the US, Europe, Latin America, Europe, Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia (and that is just the beginning!).

The LA fires have reminded us once again that the visible destruction is only part of the story. Beneath the ashes lie hidden crises—financial ruin, displacement, and toxic contamination—that can linger for years." At Climate Resilience Salons, we believe the wisdom to address these challenges already exists within our communities, particularly among women who are often on the frontlines of disaster response. From Indigenous practices like planned burns to lived experiences from disasters like Hurricane Katrina, women hold invaluable insights for resilience-building—insights that are too often overlooked. This is why we’re proposing a special Climate Resilience Salon to gather women from across the country, including Indigenous women and those disproportionately impacted by disasters, to share their knowledge and strategies. Together, we can dig into the challenges posed by disasters like the LA fires and work toward solutions that address recovery and build resilience for the future. Read our latest article to explore the hidden crises beneath the LA fires and how we can better respond. If you’re interested in participating in or hosting a Climate Resilience Salon, please reach out—we’d love to collaborate. #LAFires #EmergencyManagement #WomenLeadingChange #ClimateResilience #CommunityResilience #TechForGood #DisasterTech #FemaleFounders

We love seeing members of our previous Salons continue to do amazing things. AKELLO IMMACULATE you are inspiring!
Today I was previledged to meet with the rural women who are involved in the processing and sale of hot pressed edible Shea butter. These mothers seated under the Shea nut tree are a reflection of resilience and a hope that if we build businesses around trees we can restore our forest cover. #KeriNaturals #KingofAfricanBeauty #Otukerian we are building green businesses using a rural featurism approach.
