  • We recently hosted an exclusive dinner with Hitachi, bringing together over 20 leaders from Japan’s top companies to discuss climate challenges, extreme weather, and their impact on supply chains and sustainability. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ken Naono, Principal Researcher at Hitachi’s R&D Group, who delivered a keynote that sparked engaging conversations among industry pioneers. Attendees also enjoyed an exquisite five-course meal crafted by Michelin-starred Restaurant L’Aube’s Chef Hideaki Imahashi and pâtissière Shoko Hirase, adding a unique touch to the evening. The insights and participation of the Hitachi team—Dr. Ken Naono, Ms. Mika Takata, and Mr. Shuhan Zheng—along with all attendees, made this event impactful and memorable. Collaborations like these, alongside partners such as Suntory Holdings Limited and Hitachi, are critical to driving innovation for a sustainable future. How can artificial intelligence be leveraged to tackle the climate crisis effectively while mitigating its own environmental footprint? This question will take center stage at The Brookings Institution's event, "Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Tackle Climate Change." We’re proud to announce that on December 2nd, our CEO, Himanshu Gupta, will join leaders like Mark Florian, Partner and Head of Infrastructure Investments at BlackRock, to discuss AI’s pivotal role in transforming climate risk assessment. With AI, industries can move beyond static models to dynamic, actionable insights—enabling better preparation for climate disruptions, more resilient supply chains, and informed decisions that align with both financial and sustainability goals. At the same time, the panel will explore the balance we must strike between leveraging AI for good and minimizing its environmental footprint. This Brookings event is a unique opportunity to connect with visionaries at the forefront of innovation, policy, and sustainability. We’re excited to see ClimateAi play a role in shaping this critical dialogue. Find out how to participate: https://lnkd.in/eqfdDZy8 #AIandClimate #ClimateAdaptation

A proud moment captured by my wife and son on their way to school: my latest opinion piece featured in THE YOMIURI SHIMBUN's The Japan News. This weekend, my article was published both in print and online, where I explored the topic: the unique synergies between Japanese corporations and overseas AI startups. Drawing on insights from supporting the Suntory Holdings Limited & ClimateAi customer relationship (among many others), I delved into how these collaborations unlock potential neither could achieve alone. Japanese corporations bring expertise and global scale, while startups inject fresh perspectives, agility, and cutting-edge innovation. Together, they can drive transformative progress, particularly in fields like AI. Read my piece here: Japanese Corporations, AI Startups Can Build Synergy; Both Have Qualities to Mutually Enhance Innovation https://lnkd.in/dGT5QqF5 Note: Yomiuri Shimbun is Japan’s largest newspaper and The Japan News is their English publication.
