CCEF is a nonprofit investment fund that fills existing financing gaps in clean energy and pollution-reduction projects.
About us
CCEF is a mission-based impact investment fund that aims to mitigate climate change, advance environmental and economic justice, and create a healthier and more resilient Colorado by expanding access to capital to underserved projects and communities. CCEF was born out of a three-year collaboration among the Colorado Energy Office (CEO), the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Coalition for Green Capital (CGC). This collaboration aligned to create CCEF with a shared belief that a specialized, nonprofit intermediary was necessary to identify barriers to financing clean energy projects, bridge the gap between clean energy projects and traditional capital providers, and to drive demand for these solutions by performing market engagement and development activities.

#ProjectExample One example of a project we're looking to fund through the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund is new construction by a commercial developer. When combined with various funding sources, CCEF can be an excellent addition to the capital stack. As part of the process, we will review the clean energy components of the project and it's helpful to have conducted an energy assessment to quantify the impact of the clean energy measures.
