Last week, we were honored to be part of the Solstice Strategic Planning Retreat held at the Verve in Natick! 40 Solstice employees gathered to fold 1,365 pairs of underwear for 195 children as part of their volunteer event. Thank you WBZ | CBS Boston for featuring us on Levan Out Live yesterday! Awareness is so important for a small but quickly growing nonprofit like ours—especially as we start our Season of Giving campaign from now until the end of the year. Special thanks to Charles River School for hosting our event, and to the 44 middle schoolers who packed 1,232 pairs of underwear for 176 kids! Did you know that 1 in 3 kids in Massachusetts experience clothing insecurity? Their access to underwear is even worse because unlike outer clothing, underwear cannot be donated for legal and hygienic purposes. Here at Cocotree Kids we are on a mission to provide new underwear to underserved youth across MA for their dignity and security. Our goal this Season of Giving is to raise $30,000 so we can purchase 60,000 pairs of underwear for 8,500 kids. We work with companies of all sizes to find ways to partner together to support kids in our community. Here are a few ways to help:  1. Host an underwear drive  2. Host a fold & pack event  3. WE DID IT - THANK YOU! National Underwear Day was created to celebrate underwear and the freedom of self-expression that comes with wearing it. Cocotree Kids is using it as a day to not only celebrate and be grateful for underwear - but also to bring awareness to the fact that not everyone has access to it. We set out to raise $5,000 and provide over 1,400 kids with 10,000 pairs of underwear. Thanks to your incredible support, we were able to exceed our initial goal by 18% and provide 1,686 kids with 11,800 pairs of underwear! We couldn’t have made this kind of impact without the support of each of you. We appreciate every donation, share, mention and level of support!

National Underwear Day is four days away, but we’ve already exceeded our goal of $5,000!!! Thank you so much to everyone who contributed and supported us. 10,000 pairs of undies will go out to 1,428 kids! From now until August 5, our new goal is “10 for 10.” We would love to reach 50 donors, and we are currently at 40. If we get 10 people at $10 each, we will reach 110% of our goal! The need for underwear is endless, and National Underwear Day helps us bring awareness to this unseen and unknown essential for kids.
