In August 2020, Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) took a significant step forward by acquiring Family Reentry, a leader in prevention, intervention, and reentry services that has served Connecticut's communities for 40 years. This move has since led to remarkable growth and innovation in behavioral health services across Connecticut. This strategic acquisition has allowed CRJ to expand its reach and impact. The integration of Family Reentry into CRJ's operations has resulted in a substantial enhancement of behavioral health services, particularly in New London and New Haven. These expanded services now offer a comprehensive approach to mental health and substance use disorders, addressing the diverse needs of the communities they serve. Perhaps the most exciting development in CRJ's recent history is the grand opening of the Bridgeport Recovery Center. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a beacon of hope for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The Recovery Center offers a range of services provided by certified staff with lived experience and lived evidence, including peer and group support sessions, connection to treatment including medication-assisted therapies, hepatitis and HIV screening, life skills training, and vocational support. The Recovery Center embodies CRJ's commitment to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to those on the path to recovery. All of this excitement calls for celebration, and we are doing just that. Our inaugural Rise & Bloom Fashion Show, a unique fundraising event, is just around the corner. Join us on October 10th to support this incredible cause. Click the link below to learn more! https://lnkd.in/eGBzVUwj

I wanted to start off by thanking Community Resources For Justice (CRJ) for recognizing our Brooke House program during the 2024 CRJ Annual Service Awards! The Brooke House team was presented with the CRJ Excellence Award! We are absolutely humbled to receive this recognition. As a Leader, I can’t take all the credit for this recognition. I have to applaud my team for the work that they do on a daily basis, in supporting our returning citizens. We wouldn’t be able to provide the excellent services without our team. Go Brooke House!!
