Did you know October is LGBTQIA+ History Month? In the context of healthcare, we're encouraged by the progress that has been made over time to advance services such as gender-affirming and HIV/AIDS care. However, stigma and discrimination persist as significant barriers to truly equitable care for LGBTQIA+ folks. Let's take this time to reflect on where we've come from and how much further we need to go to vanquish health disparities for the LGBTQIA community!

CCP wishes all of our Hispanic and Latine staff, members and their families a wonderful #HispanicHeritageMonth! National Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15th to October 15th and is an observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson. It was later expanded by President Ronald Reagan to cover a 30-day period. CCP serves a rich, culturally diverse membership with a sizable Hispanic and Latine population. As such, we welcome this time to celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of our fellow Hispanic and Latine Americans.
