  • From Handwritten Code to the Stars: Inspiring the Next Generation of STEAM Innovators Pictured here is Margaret Hamilton, a pioneer whose brilliance and resilience helped us reach for the stars—literally. Hamilton led the team that created the software for NASA’s Apollo space program. Her work ensured the success of the Apollo 11 moon landing, forever changing the course of history. Look at this image. That’s Margaret standing next to stacks of handwritten code she wrote—code that literally got us to the moon. HER WORK was the foundation of one of humanity’s greatest achievements. And yet, here we are, decades later, asking ourselves why schools aren’t doing more to cultivate this kind of brilliance in the next generation. Why are we teaching students to memorize and regurgitate instead of creating and innovating? Why are we still treating the arts as “extras” when they are essential to unlocking creativity in STEM fields? Why isn’t every school embracing STEAM education and providing students with opportunities to think big, experiment, fail, and try again? We should be empowering students to dream as boldly as Margaret Hamilton did. We should be teaching them to code, solve real-world problems, and think outside the box. Instead, we’re boxing them into test scores and standardized pathways. It’s time to demand better. It’s time to revolutionize education so that ingenuity isn’t the exception—it’s the expectation. Let’s give today’s students the tools, inspiration, and freedom to dream as big as Margaret did. Because if we’re not fostering the next generation of innovators, creators, and problem-solvers, what are we even doing? At Concorde Education, we believe in cultivating the same ingenuity in today’s students that Margaret demonstrated decades ago. By integrating arts into STEM, we’re unlocking new ways of thinking and creating a future where innovation knows no bounds.

  • Are your school programs preparing students for the future? Or are you stuck in the same old routine of tests, grades, and outdated curricula that don’t even scratch the surface of what they actually need to succeed? The truth is, the future does not care about how well students can memorize facts. It cares about what they can do. It cares about their ability to #thinkcritically, adapt, #problemsolve, and #innovate. Yet here we are, expecting students to thrive in tomorrow’s world with tools from yesterday. At Concorde Education we do not believe in the “one-size-fits-all” approach to learning. The best way to equip students for the future is through #skillbased learning - #coding, #creativity, #teamwork, emotional intelligence—these are the things that will set them apart, not how well they can bubble in a multiple-choice test. The world is changing, and the workforce is not waiting for us to catch up. It is time we stop asking students to fit into outdated systems and start building systems that fit their needs. So, here’s the question: Are we going to keep pretending the status quo is good enough, or are we going to step up and give students the tools they actually need to thrive? #WakeUpEducation #SkillBasedLearning #FutureReady #InnovationInEducation #ConcordeEducation

  • "Greatness in education, like greatness in life, starts where comfort zones end—take the risk, transform the future. #DareToEducate" Building a #business, just like transforming #education, requires resilience, bold decisions, and a mindset that embraces failure as a stepping stone to success. At Concorde Education, we understand that innovation in schools often demands taking calculated risks to achieve better outcomes for students. Whether it is implementing cutting-edge #STEAM programs, reimagining social-emotional learning (#SEL) through gaming, or adapting to limited resources with creative solutions like pen-and-paper coding lessons, bold steps are necessary to drive meaningful change. The greatest champions in history, from Kobe Bryant to Serena Williams, are celebrated not because they avoided failure, but because they used it as fuel to reach new heights. Similarly, every challenge we face as #educators and #entrepreneurs refines our approach, making us stronger and more effective in our mission to empower #students and educators. For #schools, this means recognizing that there may be better options than conventional traditional methods. Innovation, risk, and adaptation are essential to preparing students to become the most successful versions of themselves. At Concorde Education, we embrace this mindset as we continue to partner with schools to deliver personalized learning and professional development that inspire bold action and measurable results. What’s one risk you’ve taken to achieve better outcomes for your students or your organization? Let’s share and grow together. #EducationInnovation #Entrepreneurship #Resilience #GrowthMindset #ConcordeEducation Special thanks to Scottie Pippen and Ivanka Trump

Superintendent at St. Vrain Valley School District

This information below regarding 4 day school weeks provided in the National Superintendent’s Association of School Superintendents Publication demonstrates the longer term harm being done to students when 20% of their school week is eliminated. This practice of reducing a child’s education to appease and accommodate the desire to make things easier on adults is very sad, and while the same adults may not realize this today, the truth is they are contributing to the demise of public education as more families are seeking other, more student centered options. The wave of school closures across Colorado and beyond is not a coincidence. This practice of reducing a child’s education and then wondering about the impact, reminds me of two old sayings. 1) Don’t try to outsmart common sense. Really, you can’t realize that this reduction of quality learning time isn’t beneficial? 2) Don’t interfere with your competition when they are in the process of destroying themselves. This practice amounts to contributing to the irrelevance of public education. If anything, our children in the United States could benefit from more time in high quality schools as opposed to being significantly outpaced by almost every other country in terms of time in school. For those in public education who are concerned that there is a movement to privatize public education, your greater concern should be those currently involved in public education that are advocating for a 4-day school week. The 4-day school week is the most effective strategy yet in promoting privatization. It is a strong statement being made that diminishes the value of public education. And, what is most disheartening is that this sentiment which diminishes the value of public schools is coming from some from within the public school system. They may not even realize the message they are sending to our public when they enthusiastically give away 20% of our children’s education. And, as for all of the “reasons” given in support of a 4-day week, save it for someone who doesn’t know any better. No matter how you slice and dice it, it’s all about making things easier for adults at the expense of our students. I wonder how long it will be before these same people begin to advocate for a 3-day school week? This information below is from the National Superintendent’s Association of School Superintendent’s: “The differences between 4- and 5-day schools was small each year but added up over time. “By the end of our 8-year period, these small yearly differences added up to a meaningful difference. Students were 0.15 to 0.20 standard deviations behind their counterparts in 5-day school week districts,” Doss says. “A more recent preprint, which means it has not been peer-reviewed, co-authored by Morton, also found that the 4-day school schedule did not have a positive impact on academics.”
